Bioinspired Superwetting Interfacial Materials
Lei Jiang is a Professor at the Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He is an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Academy of Sciences for the Developing World, National Academy of Engineering, USA, Australian Academy of Science, Academia Europaea, European Academy of Engineering. His scientific contribution is learning from nature, discovering and establishing super-wettability system: from fundamental understanding to innovative applications. He has made a series of achievements, continuously leading the development of bioinspired super-wettability field in the world, and won many important international awards.
New Progress in Bioinspired Superwetting Interfacial Materials
Since 1998, Prof. Lei Jiang has summarized three basic principles of superwetting phenomenon through learning from nature. On this basis, a superwetting interface material system including 64 combination schemes was established, and expanded to various liquid systems with different pressure and temperature ranges, leading and promoting the global development of this field. Bioinspired superwetting interfacial materials are a groundbreaking research field led by China and leading the world's development. They have achieved a series of internationally leading original research results from original basic research to applied research.
