Takaya Kubo received his education at the Tokyo Institute of Technology, earning his MA in 1989 and his PhD in 1992. He worked at ENEOS Co. from 1992 to 2006. In 2006, he was appointed as a Project Associate Professor at the University of Tokyo (UTokyo). Since 2011, he has held his current position as a Project Professor at UTokyo. His current work centers around photovoltaic science and technology, with a focus on colloidal nanocrystals.
